• Hourly Range: $21.00 - $28.56 (Determined by function, education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant. A 15% salary uplift is provided on top of base salary for positions that are worked in New York City or San Francisco, which is subject to change depending on market conditions.)

Job Summary:

Join Bechtel’s Finance Transformation and AI team for a hands-on summer internship where you’ll help shape the future of finance operations through data, automation, and artificial intelligence. This internship is ideal for students interested in the intersection of finance and technology, eager to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to impactful projects.

Major Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with data scientists, finance professionals, and technology partners to solve real-world finance problems using data and analytics.
• Assist in developing and testing machine learning models and forecasting tools for teams such as FP&A, treasury, accounting, and tax.
• Participate in model validation, documentation, and governance processes.
• Help with the adoption of AI and analytics within finance teams, contributing to a culture of experimentation and innovation.
• Present findings and insights to team members and stakeholders in clear, data-driven narratives.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience with AI, Machine Learning, Statistical modeling, and financial concepts and systems (e.g., general ledger, FP&A tools).
• Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages (Python, SQL, etc)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
