Job Description

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a 2nd Shift Fabrication Production Supervisor to join their team. As a Production Supervisor, you will be part of the Manufacturing Team supporting operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, proven problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: 2nd Shift Fabrication Production Supervisor

Location: Rochester, MN

Type:  Permanent Opportunity

Shift: M-F 3p-11:30p, OT as needed, OT Day shift on occasional Saturdays

Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000 plus 3% premium

What's the Job?

• Oversees 5-7 direct reports in the Fabrication Department 
• Cultivates and promotes a strong safety culture and follows all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Interprets schedules and coordinates appropriate manpower to meet area goals, ensuring an uninterrupted flow of products and services.
• Provides leadership and clear direction to the production staff to ensure quality, efficiency, and other area goals are met consistently.
• Facilitates training, coaching, and employee performance reviews, including cross-training within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Leads and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance working conditions and departmental safety performance.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in a related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of supervision experience required.
• Knowledge of Union preferred
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Metal fabrication and weld experience or liquid and powder paint experience desired.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to pass a Background and Drug Screen
