Locum Tenens Physician - Addiction Medicine Position Type: Specialty: Physician - Addiction Medicine Location: Michigan Shift: Days (flexible; 5 shifts/week, including weekends) Start Date: 4/1/2025 End Date: Ongoing Position Details: Patient Population: Adults (18+) Setting: Inpatient substance use disorder treatment; residential treatment Responsibilities: Provide trauma-informed care for addiction treatment Manage stable anxiety, affective, personality, and psychotic disorders Supervise voluntary, non-restrained patients Required Procedures: Familiarity with pharmacotherapy and involuntary commitments EMR System: CDHR (training provided) Support Staff: 2 psychiatrists, 2 advanced practice providers, master-level social workers, and licensed counselors Days Per Month: Flexible schedule; 40-hour work weeks On-Call/Weekends: Weekend shifts required, provider can choose their 5-day schedule Submission Requirements: Board Certified in Addiction Medicine or Preventive Medicine (FM or IM with Addiction Medicine BE accepted) Active MI license or IMLC ( REQUIRED ) Clean background check ( REQUIRED ) BLS certification ( REQUIRED ) Local providers preferred Join us today!
