Position: Chief Finance & Administrative Officer

Basic Function: Responsible for maintaining financial, accounting, and administrative services in order to support EE operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees daily administrative operations of the organization.
• Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise administrative staff and provide guidance and support.
• Assists with the administration of company-wide HR policies, procedures, and practices.
• Implements financial, accounting, and payroll procedures and policies.
• With guidance from the Chief Operating Officer (COO), implements strategic and operational planning by ensuring that required infrastructure is in place.
• Oversees reconciliation of general ledgers, bank statements, and weekly deposits.
• Prepares income statements and monitors transactions and their entry into the computerized accounting database in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintains all fund accounts.
• Coordinates preparation of the annual budget.
• Prepares weekly reports for President, quarterly reports, monthly financial statements and balance sheets, and maintains records pertaining to financial systems.
• Oversees the accounts payable and accounts receivable systems in order to ensure complete and accurate records of all moneys.
• Manages the bi-weekly payroll in order to ensure that employees are paid in an accurate and timely manner.
• Provides efficient and effective office management.
• Manages the filing systems, storage and security of documents.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• CPA preferred with strong not-for-profit experience.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory compliance in administration and finance.
• Financial acumen with accounting experience.
• Proficient in relevant software applications.
• Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices.

Relationships:

• Maintains a healthy relationship with God and an exemplary Christian testimony
• Maintains a healthy relationship with family members (i.e., spouse and children as applicable)
• Functions as a responsible member in good standing of a local church
• Participates in the EE ministry in a local church
• Reports to the Chief Operations Officer
• Willing and able to cooperate with the leadership and policies of EE
• Relates well and communicates clearly with all EE staff and ministry contacts

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

• Occasionally required to stand

• Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
• Continually required to talk or hear
• Occasionally required to lift/push light weights, 25-50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral, depth, and ability to adjust or focus
• Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard

• Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions
• The noise level in the work environment usually is quiet
