About the Role
The Company is seeking a CFO/COO to join its executive leadership team. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong financial background and proven operational leadership experience. This dual-role position is pivotal in ensuring the organization's financial integrity, operational efficiency, and administrative functions align with its mission to create inclusive communities and provide opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The CFO/COO will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities, leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and organizational policies. Additionally, the role involves managing daily operations, HR, and IT functions, and requires a minimum of 7-10 years' progressive financial and operational leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment. Key responsibilities for the CFO/COO at the company include serving as a member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic and operational oversight, and managing the organization's financial, HR, IT, and operational activities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, with a CPA or MBA preferred, and a strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards. They should also have experience in all aspects of financial management, including leading the annual audit process, and be adept at managing relationships with external vendors and service providers. The role requires a commitment to the nonprofit sector, a connection to the intellectual disabilities community, and the ability to build trust and consensus among all stakeholders.
