The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Statewide Retention Manager. Under administrative direction, this position will manage and administer the Department’s statewide Employee Retention Program. The position will review DCFS recruitment and retention processes and enhancements, conducting regular and systematic audits of current onboarding and offboarding processes for newly hired or separating employees. This position will identify areas for improvement in onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for employees and reduced administrative burdens. Additionally, the position will benchmark current processes against industry best practices and state/federal regulations to ensure compliance and effectiveness. Finally, this position will review and conduct surveys to gather data on the employee experience, with an eye towards the creation of new innovations, policies, processes, training, or other efforts to improve the employee experience and increase retention. This position provides a great opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented person focused on ensuring the Department effectively retains talented staff to support the Department’s operations.
