Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. This role is best suited for someone who thrives in managing large-scale, heavy civil construction projects and is passionate about delivering them on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. As a Construction Project Manager, you will oversee every stage of the project life cycle—from initial planning and design coordination through execution, closeout, and delivery.

For more than 100 years, our company has proudly served communities with excellence in construction. Still family-owned and operated after a century with the same family, we continue to build on the same values of integrity, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality that guided our founders. Joining our team means becoming part of a legacy of trust, reliability, and innovation in the heavy construction industry.

Core Areas of Work - Our company specializes in large-scale civil and infrastructure projects, including:

  1. Concrete and asphalt paving for roadways, highways, and commercial developments
  2. Underground utilities such as water, sewer, and storm drainage systems
  3. Demolition and site clearing for major developments and infrastructure upgrades
  4. Structural construction, including bridges and other complex builds
  5. Earthmoving and grading on large tracts of land and transportation corridors
  6. Power generation facilities, supporting critical energy infrastructure
  7. Rail construction and infrastructure, connecting communities and industries

Responsibilities • Project Leadership:

  • Manage all aspects of heavy civil construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Field Supervision: Lead and direct onsite personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safe and effective operations.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the main liaison with inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
  • Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Quality & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Problem Solving: Anticipate challenges, mitigate risks, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Reporting: Deliver timely progress updates, cost reports, and performance metrics to leadership and clients.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in heavy civil or infrastructure construction management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management software and project controls.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and subcontractors.
  • Skilled in negotiation, budgeting, and scheduling for large-scale projects.
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented, with a commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to oversee multiple high-value projects simultaneously while maintaining focus and accountability.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a family-owned company with over a century of history in building critical infrastructure.
  • Work on large-scale projects that shape communities, from roadways and utilities to energy and rail systems.
  • Join a team that values integrity, teamwork, and craftsmanship.
  • Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional development and career growth.
