Coordinator, Public Relations - Business Development The Coordinator of PR and Communications will work collaboratively with other members of the PR & Communications team and the Business Development department to support the firm’s global PR strategy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Draft various content, including external announcements and write-ups for the firm’s website Field and research press inquiries Monitor, compile and distribute to firm leadership news coverage of the firm Develop media lists for distribution of firm news Assist with media outreach around firm news Distribute press releases over wire services Research opportunities for and facilitating placement of bylined articles Draft award and survey submissions Prepare reports of media relations activity Assist with various other research projects Ensure consistency with the firm’s brand and editorial guidelines across materials Qualifications / Position Requirements Exemplary writing, editing and proofreading skills Excellent judgment and discretion Ability to form effective working relationships with individuals at all levels Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle and appropriately prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Self-starter with an excellent work ethic Education and/or Experience 1-2 years of experience in PR/media relations/corporate communications. Law firm or other professional services firm preferred. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, journalism, media/public relations, marketing or a related field. Compensation The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 - $90,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, anticipated assignment, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
