Company Description gAI Ventures is a venture builder focused on launching Vertical AI companies in Financial Services, Enterprise Productivity and Commerce. We partner with experienced operators and domain experts to identify high-friction workflows, validate products quickly, and build category-defining vertical AI companies from scratch and invest in them. We provide capital, hands‑on support across product, design, engineering, GTM, and strategy, giving founders the lift they need to move with speed and clarity. Key People The team behind gAI Ventures brings deep operating, technical, product and investment experience. We are serial entrepreneurs who’ve seen -1 to 1 journey several times. One of our Co‑founder, Partner previously built and sold a company to an US based IPO‑bound unicorn and has invested in over 30 startups, including multiple category leaders. Another Co‑founder, CTO is a seasoned AI architect, former AI researcher, and ex‑CTO of a well‑funded startup. The third Partner brings a combined background in venture capital, having worked at 500 Startups and led investments at the venture arm of a major bank. Together this team doesn’t just invest from the sidelines, they co‑build with exceptional founders. Why Agentic Commerce, Why Now Agentic commerce is transforming how transactions happen online, replacing clicks and checkouts with autonomous agents that discover, decide, and buy . Standards like OpenAI’s ACP, Visa’s TAP, and Mastercard’s Agent Pay are laying the foundation for this shift. As these rails mature, merchants need new infrastructure that can: Expose structured product, pricing, availability data through agentic commerce protocols (ACP, TAP, Agent Pay) and make it understandable and navigable by agents. Maintain trust, fraud protection, and compliance in fully autonomous transactions. Get merchant level insights across all platforms. Stay interoperable across major networks, agent platforms, and payment providers. This is a rare chance to build the merchant layer that powers the next decade of commerce. Your Role As a Cofounder , you will work alongside the gAI Ventures team to launch a new company focused on the merchant side of agentic commerce . You will lead the 0 to 1 journey, validate the wedge, build the MVP, and eventually step up as CEO or cofounder . You will: Identify where merchants struggle to become agent ready. Spot use cases where agentic workflows immediately reduce friction for merchants. Work with the ecosystem players, platforms, and merchants to validate problems. Turn emerging agentic commerce protocols into simple, merchant‑friendly products. Develop the commercial thesis, GTM strategy, and early partner pipeline. Assemble and lead a cross‑functional team (product, ops, partnerships). Who You Are An experienced operator or builder with a strong foundation in ecommerce, merchant platforms, or commerce infrastructure. Someone who understands the full commerce workflow end to end (catalog, images, pricing, inventory, orders, returns, and everything in between). Familiar with how merchants evaluate and adopt new infrastructure. Ability to navigate partnership‑heavy environments (e.g., commerce platforms, payment gateways, merchant platforms). You excel at and enjoy business development and customer acquisition. Comfortable working in emerging, unstructured spaces and validating markets where playbooks don’t yet exist. A collaborative leader who moves fast, communicates well, and brings teams along with clarity and precision. Bonus if you’ve: Led GTM or partnership efforts with merchants or commerce platforms. Built or launched B2B products in relevant domains. Entrepreneurial at your core and confident making bold, informed bets.
