Overview:

We are a renowned leader in the construction industry for over four decades, inviting you to join our esteemed team. With expertise spanning across Interior Trim, Exterior Siding, Cabinetry, and Framing divisions, we are committed to delivering excellence in craftsmanship and service.

As a Forklift Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation across job sites and our facilities. You will primarily handle service calls for forklifts such as Nessel and SkyTrak models, with additional work conducted at our garage in Rockland.

Primary responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on forklifts (e.g., Nessel, SkyTrak) and other heavy equipment.
• Handle service calls to job sites, ensuring timely and efficient repairs to minimize downtime.
• Conduct inspections and diagnostics of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and work performed.
• Collaborate with the operations team to address equipment-related concerns.
• Work in the Rockland garage when service calls are not required, servicing forklifts and other large vehicles.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Communicate equipment status and repair needs to the supervisor and team members.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a mechanic, preferably working with forklifts or heavy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to job sites as needed.
• Forklift license is an asset but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Physical ability to handle workloads, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
