As a cook you will be responsible for limited service of the lounge and bar area including but not limited to: food preparation, food service and limited kitchen prep and responsibilities.
- Shift: 5am-1pm- weekends and holidays required
- Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner
- Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
- Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces, storage containers, all areas
- Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu
- Assist with the cleaning and organizing of kitchen and equipment
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area including tables, shelves, grills, burners, ovens, and refrigeration equipment
- Maintain standards of company and state health codes in assigned areas
- Execute and communicate down tasks and jobs from upper management
- Skillfully use pressure fryers, griddle, gas burner and other kitchen equipment needed for your work
- Ability to read and execute recipes
- Understanding of product measurements
- Work with customers / staff with tact and diplomacy
- Perform work that is routine and organized
- Be able to lift forty (40) pounds unassisted and more with assistance; frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to forty (40) pounds
- Be able to reach, handle, see, stand, and walk
- Work primarily indoors
- Adapt to temperature changes, which may include working for a short period of time in the walk-in freezer/cooler or near hot kitchen equipment
- This is not a Monday through Friday job, in fact it requires a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, but it is for you if you love people and have the right attitude! Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Maintains high sanitation standards throughout the area of responsibility
- Ensures organized and clean storage areas for all food
- Ensures that all food items are properly handled and stored at the conclusion of the shift Properly rotates inventory
- Prepares food according to specifications for breakfast, lunch, dinner and banquets
- Maintains clean and orderly storage areas and product pars
- Work with manager to create specials and other menu variations
- Perform various other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Minimum of High School education preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Basic understanding of or the ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of food preparation health and safety guidelines
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
- Ability to multi-task
- Team player
