Our client, a global financial institution, is seeking a Mainframe IMS SME to support and maintain a legacy IMS-based Accounts platform as part of a long-term modernization initiative. This is a 12-month contract with a hybrid (2-3 days/week) schedule based out of Jersey City, NJ. Occasional evening hours may be required in the case of system emergencies.
This individual will serve as the go-to subject matter expert for all questions, support, and continuity planning related to the legacy IMS mainframe system—ensuring “lights-on” reliability through daily monitoring of online and batch processing components. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in IMS/DC/DB, COBOL, and DB2, as well as a strong understanding of account reference data in a financial services environment
This is a highly collaborative role requiring someone currently working with IMS in production environments and able to contribute expertise toward a long-term transition to strategic platforms.
