Excellent Client in Midland, TX is seeking an Industrial Equipment Painter
Job Title: Painter
Department: Assembly
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Post-fab/Yard Operations Foreman and your crew leader, execute the required duties to paint gas plant packages to the highest degree quality, efficiency, and safety.
Essential Function:
· Work under supervision of the lead painter.
· Mix and apply different types of industrial paints, coatings and primers using spray equipment, roller and hand brush on vessels and equipment as directed by the lead painter or as described on the project specifications
· Sand blast and prepare surface to be painted
· Read and understand paint specifications and application methods for industrial coatings such as epoxy and polyurethane based materials
· Must work safely, efficiently, and with minimal required supervision
· Keep and maintain area clean, keep and maintain assigned tools and equipment.
· Perform other tasks as directed by supervisors
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Must have knowledge of various industrial coatings and their application methods
· Must possess good painting skills and be knowledgeable on sandblasting and painting
· Must work safely, efficiently, and with minimal required supervision
· Able to operate forklift and manlift to conduct duties, work at heights
· Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
· Ability to work in all weather conditions
· Bending, stooping, standing for long periods of time and climbing
· High level of safety awareness
