Job Summary The Network Planning & Engineering Intern will be responsible for modelling equipment within Netcracker and establishing a dashboard within Tableau. The Intern will be working on uploading documents onto the Engineering Wiki page. Although the Intern will work in a team-based environment, it is expected that he/she will be self-motivated, have a good attention to detail and able to complete work tasks with an outstanding professional attitude.
Responsibilities Validating existing power shelves and modelling of new power equipment within the Netcracker database.
Creating and developing Tableau Dashboards based on application requirements and business process expectations.
Present project ideas to individuals and groups.
Upload existing Engineering documents onto an Engineering Wiki page.
Provide a weekly status report with the Network Engineering Management and Team.
The Intern will work closely with all related management teams to fulfill business requirements and contribute to successful implementation of project.
The Intern will work with: Capacity Planning team to perform data validation efforts within Netcracker and develop a power and space dashboard within Tableau.
Network Engineering team to provide guidance on documents to be uploaded to Wiki page.
Qualifications Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program related to the role, entering their senior year, or recent graduates (undergraduate or master's level).
Bachelor's Degree-in progress or higher in Computer Applications and Data Visualization or related discipline from an accredited program.
0 to 3 years of professional experience, ideally in Tableau and Wiki page development or closely related field.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment and willingness to convey ideas among team.
Systems and Software Knowledge.
Experience with Netcracker or similar Planning and Provisioning tool.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Visio & various operational Support Systems for internal and external presentations and complex network schematics.
Have basic knowledge and skills related to: Wiki page updating
Tableau Data Visualization programming
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience in problem solving with stakeholders, clients, and teammates.
Ability to work and learn independently.
Ability to build and foster collaborative relationships.
Strong problem-solving skills, self-managed and the ability to multitask.
Excellent Documentation and Communication ability.
