Description 2026 Summer Internship Opportunities with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) Program Date: June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026 Internship - Finance Division Looking for an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience in the transportation industry? Look no further than the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA)! JTA is currently seeking talented and motivated individuals to join us as interns within our five main divisions: Administration, Operations, Finance, System Development, and Public Affairs.
As an intern, you will have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals in your field of interest and learn valuable skills that will prepare you for a successful career. You will be given meaningful projects and responsibilities that will allow you to apply the knowledge you have gained in the classroom to real-world situations.
At JTA, we are committed to providing our interns with a supportive and inclusive environment. As an intern, you will receive mentorship and guidance from your supervisor and other JTA leaders. You will also have opportunities to network with other professionals in the transportation industry and attend trainings and workshops to further enhance your skills.
The available internship opportunities are as follows in the Finance Division: Finance: - Revenue
- Grants Management
- Information Technology
Requirements: - Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student in trade school, college undergraduate, or a graduate student in an accredited College or University program.
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Applicants must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the internship period.
- Applicants must be able to pass a security background check and drug screening.

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority is a public transit service provider governed by requirements of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Department of Transportation (DOT).
