**Purpose of the position**
Will perform assigned plumbing duties as a PAE, an Amentum company, employee onsite at the NASA Johnson Space Center worksite.

**Principal Responsibilities of the Position**
+ Plumbing as assigned.

**Education and Experience Requirements**
+ Plumbing experience.
+ Must have a High School Diploma.
**Requirements**
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge.
+ Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INS Citizenship documents on date of hire (candidates will be sent home if this paperwork is not provided upon arrival on date of hire).
+ Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner.
+ Must have, and maintain, a valid Texas drivers license.
+ Must have and maintain a current Texas Plumbers License
**Special Knowledge and Skills Required**
+ This position is located onsite at NASA JSC and requires US Citizenship.
+ Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment background check and drug screen test.
+ Clean, neat, and professional personal appearance.
+ Must pass Asbestos physical and be able to wear a respirator as needed.
+ Will insure quality and completeness of work in a safe and timely manner, as well as, insuring areas worked are clean, neat and ready for Customers needs when complete.
+ Identification of (all) pipe/fittings.
+ Thread standard 1 NPT to code.
+ Figure travel between two parallel running pipes using 45 ells / 90 ells.
+ Sweat, braze, solvent socket weld piping to code.
+ Cut cast iron and properly install MJ (mechanical joint).
+ Flare 3/8 copper tubing/bend 90 ell.
+ Using Oxy-Gas torch.
+ Size piping of fixtures/fixture units (sanitary sewage/potable water/natural gas/nitrogen/storm sewage/compressed air/vacuum)
+ Able to weld/solder, as needed.

**Physical Requirements**
+ Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. consistently.
+ Dexterity to operate office and field equipment as required by the position.
+ In good physical shape/condition for climbing in and out of tight restricted working areas, as applicable.

**Preferences**
+ Prior knowledge of NASA site, experienced with working on government installations preferred.
