What you'll do
- Perform daily cleaning and inspection of CNC machinery, including removing debris, checking fluid levels, and inspecting tools.
- Conduct regular lubrication of moving parts and replacement of air and oil filters.
- Inspect belts, chains, and other components for wear, ensuring proper alignment and tension.
- Test safety features and emergency stop functions to maintain compliance.
- Monitor and maintain coolant and hydraulic systems, including cleaning tanks and replacing fluids.
- Document maintenance activities and report potential issues to management.
- Perform routine inspections of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) to identify issues.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor plumbing, electrical, and mechanical problems.
- Maintain and repair facility lighting, including replacing bulbs and ballasts.
- Perform carpentry tasks such as repairing doors, locks, drywall, or flooring.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of facility areas, including storage rooms and common spaces.
- Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and building codes during all maintenance activities.
What you need to thrive in this role - High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior maintenance experience within an industrial/manufacturing setting.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Preventative Maintenance - Knowledge of scheduling and performing routine maintenance.
- Troubleshooting - Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction.
- Safety and Security - Understanding of OSHA guidelines and safety protocols. Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, ability to anticipate, think ahead and plan.
- Ability to work in a team, strong interpersonal skills, effective communication skills.
