Ready to work for an industry leader? Wood is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic III to perform a variety of duties that requires a degree of skill and ability to order materials, supervise contract lease crews, maintain production facilities in good operating order, and assist pumpers/operators with troubleshooting production equipment issues. Experience with repairing devices on production equipment such as dump valves, level controllers, and back pressure valves.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise contract lease crews to ensure that mechanical equipment is properly installed, operating within design limits, repaired and maintained
  • \n
  • Conduct field mechanical practices while providing the company with the best probability of success in a timely manner while minimizing downtime and expenditures
  • \n
  • Follow and adhere to company policy regarding bids, pricing agreements and procurement of materials and services
  • \n
  • Recognize potential hazards to operations and provide protection for both human beings and equipment
  • \n
  • Ensure that operations conducted under the control of the supervisor complies with the Company's HSE policies and/or governing agencies
  • \n
  • Ensure that the required reporting and records of daily operations, daily costs, related material transfers, etc. are prepared and reported timely and accurately
  • \n
  • Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of subsurface production equipment, adhering to safety and industry standards
  • \n
  • Diagnose equipment issues, troubleshoot problems, and determine appropriate repair methods to ensure optimal performance
  • \n
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, filter changes, and calibration of equipment
  • \n
  • Conduct thorough testing and performance checks to verify the proper functioning of equipment after repairs or maintenance
  • \n
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop maintenance schedules, plan outages, and coordinate equipment repairs
  • \n
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment condition, and spare parts inventory
  • \n
  • Monitor equipment performance and efficiency, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures
  • \n
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in subsurface production equipment technology
  • \n
  • Comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment
  • \n

Qualifications

    \n
  • Must have supervisory experience (will be supervising contract lease crews)
  • \n
  • Mechanical experience with oilfield equipment
  • \n
  • High school diploma, GED, or Technical Trade School
  • \n
  • Proven experience as an Oilfield Mechanic or similar role, with a focus on subsurface production equipment
  • \n
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems commonly found in oilfield equipment
  • \n
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical failures and malfunctions
  • \n
  • Familiarity with equipment maintenance and repair tools, instruments, and diagnostic equipment
  • \n
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and practices within the oil and gas industry
  • \n
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
  • \n
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • \n
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • \n
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in challenging environmental conditions and remote locations
  • \n
  • Valid Driver's License
  • \n

  • PEC Safeland Certification to be obtained prior to beginning this role
  • \n
  • ANSI Z390.1-2017 instructor led H2S training (will be specific to certain roles)
