Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a
Mid-Level Non-Destructive Test Specialist in
New Orleans, LA .
This position requires the ability to work variable shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends if necessary.
Position Responsibilities: \n - Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment
\n - Develops procedures and processes
\n - Performs tests or inspections and collects data
\n - Documents, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations
\n - Provides feedback on adverse trends
\n - Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products
\n - Conducts certification preparation training
\n

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.
"US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): \n - 1+ year experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test)
\n - 1+ year experience performing dimensional, composition, non-destructive, destructive and/or electrical/electronic inspections

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): \n - Current or prior NAS410 qualified and previously certified Level 2 or 3 in at least three of the following six methods: ultrasonic (UT), eddy current (ET), radiographic (RT), magnetic particle (MT), penetrant (PT), infrared testing (IRT) Training and 80 hours of compliant classroom training)
\n - Ability to travel 15% of the time.
\n - Ability to work in confined spaces and fit through a 10X18 oval opening.
\n - Ability to provide training records and work history for NDT disciplines.

Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility (Basic relocation is available for internal candidates, based on candidate eligibility.)
