We uniquely and conveniently combine our Studio and Print Production capabilities all under one roof in our 120,000 square feet facility, with an Amtrak stop and the Burbank Airport directly across the street. Position Summary: The Motion Designer is responsible for producing motion projects as it relates to marketing campaign collateral for multiple entertainment and non-entertainment clients. This may include interacting directly with multiple account teams. The ideal candidate excels in taking initiative on projects to deliver new and innovative solutions that not only align with our creative standards but set new benchmarks for excellence. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Responsible for the overall look and feel of motion deliverables that may be part of a larger campaign. Partner with Creative Director(s) and Creative Account Managers to ensure client expectations around quality and delivery are met. Collaborate with Creative Directors and Creative Account Managers to create motion work for entertainment and consumer brand clients from concept to completion. Provide quality assurance for all motion deliverables. Comfortable pitching creative ideas to key stake holders. Demonstrated understanding of how projects move through all phases of the motion process. Help develop new processes to allow for department capability and scalability. Support Midnight Oil internal marketing efforts with video content. A team player willing to assist with specific tasks outside of daily responsibilities. Mandatory Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university a plus but not required. 3-5 minimum years of work experience in the motion design field required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Rich Media a plus Experience working in Entertainment and/or entertainment adjacent verticals. Knowledge of design fundamentals, including graphic design, typography, cinematography, video editing, photography, storyboarding, illustration etc. Knowledge and Skills: Expert in all necessary motion applications including Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe After Effects. Proficient in all necessary design applications including Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. Proficient in 3D design software including Cinema4D, Blendr, Maya, etc. Technically strong understanding of motion tools and techniques. Creative, passionate, flexible and a self-starter. Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to take direction. Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a deadline driven environment. A positive, can-do attitude with high level dedication and a collaborative spirit. Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time. Occasional walking. Manual dexterity for skills such as keyboard entry. The national pay range for this role is $95,000- $125,000 year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
