Job Description

Role: Quality Assurance Engineer Location: Long Island City,NY Duration: Long Term Only W2 Consultants Tasks shall include but not be limited to the following:

• Write detailed test plans and test cases for functional testing.
• Automating complex test cases using UFT scripting.
• Maintain automation framework including developing reusable components.
• Perform full functional & regression testing on assigned projects.
• Review and provide input on all project level documentation.
• Contribute to and assist in implementing improvements in test methods and strategies.
• Log, track, and validate resolution of identified defects; and
• Escalate quality concerns to management.

• Experience in developing testing frameworks and scripting, including data driven testing, reusable functions, error handling and recovery.
• Experience in VB Scripting.
• Experience and knowledge in UAT, functional testing, system testing, unit testing, database testing; Ability to work independently within a quickly changing environment with strict deadlines.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Understanding of Microsoft Technologies (.NET, SQL Server, WebServices).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of all aspects of the software development life cycle; and
• Highly desirable: Experience with testing and verification tools such as HP UFT, UIPath Test Manager; Experience creating test frameworks; regression and integration testing.
