Job Description

Design, develop, and enforce CRC Americas compliance management programs related to CRC’s products to ensure adherence to all applicable regulations. Support the company’s strategic objectives by maintaining a strong regulatory framework.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the chemical industry
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards for chemical products in the Americas
  • At least 2-3 years of leadership experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field (Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry). Advanced degree preferred.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Legislative and Regulatory Affairs:

  • Monitor and review legislative and regulatory proposals that affect CRC Americas Group products.
  • Work with legislators and regulators to refine proposals and communicate CRC’s interests.
  • Serve as a key representative for CRC in industry associations such as HCPA and CCSPA, taking on leadership roles in boards or committees that are of primary regulatory interest to CRC.

Product Compliance:

  • Monitor new or amended regulations affecting CRC Americas Group products and advise the R&D, sales, and marketing departments on new requirements and compliance options.
  • Develop and implement regulatory strategies and compliance programs to address new or amended regulations and support product development and market expansion.
  • Create guidance documents and training materials to communicate regulations and compliance programs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain certification documents to communicate product compliance to end-users.
  • Ensure compliance with product registration and reporting requirements including pesticides, fuel additives, VOC regulations, and packaging regulations on the state/provincial and federal levels.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date regulatory process documentation and records.
  • Assist in the review of CRC literature, videos, and labels and recommend corrective actions for any non-compliance issues.
  • Oversee third-party registrations such as NSF, Kosher and Halal. Create and maintain certificates and supporting documentation.

Hazard Communication

  • Oversee and advise on the creation and distribution of Safety Data Sheets for CRC Americas products.
  • Oversee implementation, operation and updating of SDS software and related programs.
  • Oversee and advise on the label creation and update process for CRC Americas products.
  • Oversee and advise on the raw material and outside packager SDS databases and information collection programs for CRC Americas products.

Miscellaneous

  • Advise the shipping department on product compliance as it relates to shipping regulations.
  • Provide training to internal and external customers on regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Facilitate inspections or administrative reviews by regulators related to CRC products.
  • Collaborate with and support CRC International facilities as needed.
