Residential Aides NEEDED FOR ALL SHIFTS - DAY, EVENING AND OVERNIGHT ( 8AM-4PM, 4PM-12AM, 12AM-8AM). 2+ YRS RESIDENTIAL AIDE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, WORKING IN A SHELTER ENVIRONMENT IS A BIG PLUS. IMMEDIATE HIRE!The Residential Aide is responsible for providing direct support and supervision to shelter residents, ensuring a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment. This position plays a key role in maintaining order, assisting residents with daily living needs, and enforcing shelter policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor resident activities to ensure safety, compliance with rules, and respectful behavior.
• Conduct regular rounds of the facility, including sleeping areas, bathrooms, and common spaces.
• Assist with the intake and discharge process, including completing forms and orienting new residents.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents promptly and appropriately, following established protocols.
• Provide basic support and referrals for residents’ needs (e.g., hygiene items, meals, clothing, and transportation).
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including incident reports, shift summaries, and resident interactions.
• Enforce shelter rules consistently while treating all residents with dignity and respect.
• Collaborate with case managers, security, and other staff to support residents’ progress and maintain a positive environment.
• Perform light housekeeping duties and ensure the shelter is clean and organized.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous Residential Aide experience working in a shelter required
• Strong interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and crisis intervention skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress or emergency situations.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.

Working Conditions:

• Shifts may include evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Exposure to individuals in crisis, including those struggling with mental illness, substance use, and trauma.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 lbs.
