Overview
- 5,000 sign-on bonus and $5,000 relocation (for greater than 100 miles) or
- 2,500 relocation (for greater than 50 miles) for nurses with 1 or more years
experience - External Applicants Only
Oral Maxillofacial Surgery serves a diverse patient population, including
trauma, head and neck cancer, cleft palate, biopsies, dental extractions,
dental implants, pediatric and adult facial and jaw abnormalities. The
procedural nurse performs assigned procedures and physical assessments.
Evaluates and revises plan based on changes in patient status during
procedural sedation. Administers moderate sedation in the presence of, and by
the order of a provider. Assesses patients health history, performs
medication reconciliation, assesses compliance with prescribed plan of care.
Performs telephone triage and assesses patients problems or concerns by
phone. Assesses patients learning needs and performs education for pre-
operative and post-operative care. Takes necessary imaging needed for the
provider to facilitate the ideal surgical plan, this includes 2D and 3D
imaging.
Qualifications
**LicenseCertifications:**
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart
Association (AHA); Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois
Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); Pediatric
Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA);
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)

College Diploma: Nursing (Required)

Responsibilities
Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in
area of practice. Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope
of practice. Performs advanced nursing activities, which can include assisting
with procedures using conscious sedation, placement of IVs, and administering
chemotherapy drugs. Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.
Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups. Acts as
preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students.
Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or
clinical outcomes. Assists Nursing Supervisorcoordinator in the development
of departmental standing orders. Assesses patients health history, preforms
medication reconciliation, and assesses compliance with prescribed plan of
care. Performs telephone triage and assesses patients problems or concerns by
phone. RN should be able to offer interventions, find a resolution, or seek
assistance from providers as appropriate. Performs assigned procedures and
performs physical assessments to assess the patient. Evaluates and revises
plan based on changes in patient status. Administers moderate sedation in the
presence, and by the order, of a provider. Assess, interpret and intervene
based on the patient assessment and vital signs. Documents accurately and
completely. Assesses patient learning needs and performs education for pre-
operative and post-operative care. Takes necessary imaging needed for the
provider to facilitate the ideal surgical plan, this includes 2D and 3D
imaging.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $29per hour - $49.88per hour. This
represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of
posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be
dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the
candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts
