As a Security Guard - Distribution Site in Lakeland, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure atmosphere. Your presence and routine patrols contribute to a welcoming environment, while your strong communication and customer service skills support those on site. You will work as part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity in every interaction.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and monitor for security-related incidents.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized personnel from accessing restricted areas.
• Document and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents according to site protocols.
• Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuations or lockdowns, as directed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security experience is required.
• Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
