The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, a proven track record in SEO, and a passion for mentoring a high-performing team. In this role, you will oversee SEO campaigns, support strategic decision-making, and ensure the team's success in driving organic growth for our clients."Key ResponsibilitiesSEO Strategy and Execution:Collaborate with strategists to refine and optimize SEO strategies, aiming to improve organic rankings, increase traffic, and drive conversions..Support the strategists in executing SEO strategies, ensuring alignment with client goals, and providing guidance on key decisions.Assist with detailed keyword research to identify growth opportunities across client accounts and various industry types.Conduct on-page SEO audits and collaborate with web developers to implement necessary changes.Partner with the Content Manager to integrate SEO best practices into strategies and ensure alignment across teams.Ability to implement thoughtful and intentional link-building strategiesLeadership & Management:Lead and manage a team of 10+ SEO strategists, providing guidance, coaching, career development, and performance feedback.Promote a high-performance culture by setting clear goals, motivating the team, and regularly reviewing progress.Hold the team accountable to high standards of SEO excellence, ensuring that strategies are implemented with precision and that all deliverables meet client expectations.Establish clear and focused team goals, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure teammates meet deadlines and deliverables.Manage workloads, assign projects, and ensure that resources are allocated efficiently to meet client objectives.Provide leadership during client presentations, strategy sessions, and internal planning meetings.Client Management:Serve as the main point of contact for high-level SEO projects and client engagements.Collaborate with account managers and other departments (content, design, development) to ensure strategies align with broader marketing goals.Regularly report on SEO campaign performance to clients, translating technical SEO data into actionable business insights.Engage directly with clients to present SEO strategies, provide performance updates, and address SEO needs throughout project lifecycles.Foster and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as their trusted SEO advisor and driving long-term satisfaction and retention.Conflict Resolution & Problem-Solving:Proactively identify potential issues within campaigns or team dynamics and implement solutions to keep projects on track.Resolve internal or client conflicts related to SEO strategy, team member performance, and personal differences, ensuring a cohesive path forward.Innovation & Industry Expertise:Drive innovation within the team, encouraging the exploration and implementation of cutting-edge SEO techniques that will help the team stay at the forefront of industry advancements.Stay up-to-date with the latest search engine algorithms, best practices, and industry trends.Lead team training sessions and mentorship programs to continuously develop SEO expertise within the department.Encourage the exploration of new SEO tactics, ensuring the team stays at the forefront of industry innovations and trends.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but equivalent experience will be considered.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an SEO-specific role, with at least 3 years of management experience, successfully leading teams and executing large-scale SEO campaigns.Familiarity with tracking and reporting departmental data (P&L, team KPIs, etc.) is a plusExperience managing remote teams and coordinating cross-functional efforts in a distributed work environment is highly desirable.Strong understanding of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Nightwatch, or SpyFuExcellent knowledge of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as Webflow, WordPress, Shopify, etcStrong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles, managing SEO projects from strategy development to
