The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) - Phantom Works organization is seeking Signature Assessment and Validation Engineers to join the Signature Integrity Team in St. Louis, Missouri region. This is a great opportunity for someone to help enable stealth performance of platforms through manufacturing and operation processes. Signature Assessment and Validation (SAV) engineers work closely with QA and non-destructive evaluation (NDE) teams by defining verification requirements, criteria, processes, and tools. SAV is also responsible for developing signature assessment methods, and for correlating signature data for manufacturing and sustainment to refine and reduce test requirements. This job requires both hands-on and deskwork. Some travel is expected. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate and Experienced Level Signature Assessment and Validation Engineers. Position Responsibilities: Support the SAV team Work alongside the EM QA multi-discipline team Develop and validate processes with diagnostic equipment Perform developmental testing, debugging, and troubleshooting for signature verification methods Define QA test criteria for all signature verification tests Review work instructions Witness part conformance Witness QA testing & acceptance Track signature verification tests and store signature data test records Correlate and assess verification at the system level to validate lower system level tests Provide/review dispositions for non-conformances Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions Help develop a signature assessment system, including software and methods Other Responsibilities May Include: Teamwork: Candidates must be able to positively interact with a wide range of personnel in design, fabrication, and testing of prototypes and aircraft parts and systems, including suppliers Data visualization and communication: Disseminate results and status to project stakeholders Candidate may be representing the Boeing Company to Government Customers and/or suppliers Technical writing: Candidate will create and edit specifications, procedures, and reports Flexibility: Strong organization and documentation skills will be needed to manage multiple simultaneous projects in various states of maturity and/or multiple activities within a single project This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science (Level 2) 2+ years of work related experience with a Bachelor’s or work related experience with a Master’s (Level 3) 5+ years of work related experience with a Bachelor’s or 3+ years of work related experience with a Master’s or work related experience with a PhD Experience with Quality/Manufacturing Engineering Familiarity with one or more of the following is expected: LO Engineering Processes, Aircraft Design, Electromagnetic Propagation, Supportable Low Observables.
