Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a reputable manufacturing company in Ottawa, IL , and we are actively seeking a Skilled Laborer for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, experience using hand tools, and the ability to follow instructions with precision.

Position: Skilled Laborer - Manufacturing
Location: Ottawa, IL
Pay: $16.50/hour
Schedule:

• Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Overtime on Fridays, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (unless otherwise directed)

Job Duties:

• Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators
• Perform tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures and manufacturing guidelines
• Lift, bend, and stand for extended periods during production
• Use tape measures or rulers for accurate measuring
• Apply materials using hand/eye coordination with neatness and consistency
• Examine products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Package and prepare finished products for shipment
• Rotate through various tasks in the liner production process
• Review work orders and follow written/verbal instructions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Communicate production issues to supervisors
• Complete assigned tasks to meet production schedules and volume
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Skilled in using hand tools and accurately reading measurements
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
• Capable of prioritizing and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Physically capable of lifting materials and standing throughout the shift
• Willingness to learn and contribute positively to the team
