Salary: $44,000 to $48,500

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs. This role involves developing tailored educational plans, implementing effective teaching strategies, and collaborating with parents and other professionals to support student success.

Responsibilities
* Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

* Provide direct instruction in various subjects while adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning styles.

* Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure academic growth.

* Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to create a supportive educational environment.

* Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.

* Conduct assessments to evaluate student performance and inform instructional practices.

* Engage in mentoring and tutoring activities to support students' personal and academic development.

* Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of special education practices.

Skills:
* Strong mentoring abilities to guide students in their academic journey.

* Experience in childcare or working with children in an educational setting.

* Knowledge of special education principles and practices, including early intervention techniques.

* Proficiency in classroom management strategies that promote a positive learning environment.

* Experience in tutoring students with diverse learning needs.

* Familiarity with Montessori methods or similar educational philosophies is a plus.

* Skills in curriculum development tailored for special education settings.

* Understanding of library services and resources that can enhance student learning experiences.
