Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time position with school districts in the McVeytown, PA area. We are seeking dedicated professionals who meet all state and local requirements to support students with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered :

• Hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Possess an active Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE).
• Hold appropriate endorsements based on grade level and student population.
• Demonstrate prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting.
• Meet all state and local requirements, including:
• Completion of a state-approved educator preparation program.
• Passing scores on Pennsylvania Educator Certification Tests (PECT) or Praxis exams.
• Compliance with PA background checks, including FBI, Child Abuse, and State Police clearances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Provide specialized instruction and adapt curriculum to support diverse learning styles.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure inclusive education.
• Track student progress, conduct assessments, and modify teaching strategies as necessary.
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school personnel to discuss student goals and progress.
• Create a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment for students with disabilities.
