Sr. Product Design Director

Position Summary : Create and develop new product designs and patterns for HI-MACS, Viatera, and Terracanto as well as the Surfaces Division as a whole. Aid marketing and sales team by providing marketing resources and concepts for new products, and giving presentations internally and externally to promote new products. Support and mentor for career and design growth. Work at Alpharetta, GA head office and N. GA manufacturing facility.

Role Description:

• The creation, development, analysis, and research of new product designs and patterns for HI-MACS and Viatera. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, researching market and design trends, analyzing market trends and customer requirements, improving existing products, and collaborating with product managers and engineers.
• Ideating for innovative production technology to enhance design and manufacturability of new products. Collaborating with technical team on executing innovative production technologies
• Research and analyze market and design trends through tradeshows, trend-forecasting services
• Gain the voice of the customer through focus studies, surveys, and customer visits
• Collaborate with Korean HQ Design Center, product managers and engineers
• Overnight travel 20% of the time

Qualifications:

Education and Work Experience:

• Must have work experience in designing quartz surfaces for manufacturer
• Undergraduate degree in textile, graphic, interior, industrial design or related field
• Min. of 4 years experience in product design, preferable in interior surfacing products
