Job Description

This is an 100% Onsite position and no remote available until after 1 year of employment can be hybrid remote 2 days from home per week.

The Accountant plays a key role in the overall operation and financial success of our family owned business. This role requires outstanding attention to detail, ambition and reliability.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage AP, AR records, provide account statements and receivable aging reports
  • Prepare assets, liabilities and capital account entries
  • Review and record expense reports, maintain mileage logs
  • Prepare records for General Ledger - J/E, G/L recs, month-end close, financial statement prep, etc.
  • Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
  • Maintain accounting controls by following internal controls, preparing and recommending policies and procedures
  • Prepare commission calculations and reports on a monthly basis
  • Prepare monthly control reports for international business operations globally
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
  • Comply with federal, state and local financial legal requirements
REQUIREMENTS
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in accounting, business or a related field is highly desired but not required
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Knowledge of monthly financial close - journal entry, general ledger, financial statement prep process is helpful
  • Knowledge of commission statement calculation/ payment process is helpful
  • Proficient in the use of computer-based accounting software, particularly spreadsheet and bookkeeping software along with Excel skills
  • Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail organization and time management skills
  • Able to effectively establish priorities, multitask and meet deadlines
  • High level of accuracy

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening
  • Able to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions
