Job Description

We are looking for a Superintendent to work on behalf of the supplier on specified scopes of work at a data center project site in Dalton, GA. The Superintendent may take on occasional night shifts as needed.

We are also looking for a Project Manager at this same site.

Position Summary:

The Superintendent is responsible for providing on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of construction experience in critical facilities
  • Field supervision experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar field
  • Able to communicate verbally, electronically and written to convey information in an effective manner
  • Technically skilled to act as the interface between disciplines, engineers and contractors
  • Leadership skills and conflict resolution skills
  • Understanding of Area Layout
  • Endurance and ability to visit entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structures.
  • Understanding of local and national codes; construction drawings / symbols; acceptable industry standard / practices
  • Proficiency using various software applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Cx Software, BlueBeam)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion.
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
  • Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
  • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
  • Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.
  • May perform Assistant Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously.
  • Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
  • Walk all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
  • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
  • Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regards to quality of work or scheduling.
  • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
  • Complete other such duties consistent with your role as you may be assigned by management.
