Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Level II or III day shift position requiring an active CO or compact RN license and recent NICU experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is in a Level II or III NICU within a hospital setting
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, three days per week
• Weekend and on-call work are required
• May be required to float to other units or CommonSpirit locations within 60 miles in accordance with float policies
• Care for neonatal patients with a variety of clinical needs typical of NICU Level II or III
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Responsibilities include comprehensive assessment, care planning, patient and family education, medication administration, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Role involves performing specialized NICU nursing skills such as IV therapy, wound care, and specimen collection
• Must actively engage in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and professional development activities
• Requires participation in team meetings and unit-based initiatives
• Flu vaccination required during flu season unless medically exempted
• No local candidates as travelers will be considered

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active CO or compact RN license; must be in hand, pending licenses not accepted
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Minimum one year of NICU experience preferred
• Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required
• STABLE certification preferred
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility for travel position eligibility
