Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with prior travel experience and advanced fetal monitoring qualifications for a high-acuity unit in Florida.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a 19-bed Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Handle high-acuity obstetric cases with patient ratios of 1:1 or 2:1
• Night shifts, 12 hours each, three shifts per week
• On-call requirement is 12 hours within a 6-week scheduling period
• EMR system used is Epic; Epic experience is preferred
• Floating required, with travelers as first to float and possible floating to nearby sister campuses
• Unit emphasizes teamwork and expects travelers to integrate fully as core staff
• All RTO (time off) requests must be submitted prior to offer; no schedule changes or additional RTO will be approved afterward
• No block scheduling requests accepted
• Orientation begins on Fridays and includes both remote and in-person badge/ID pickup
• Galaxy Blue and/or White scrubs are required
• Proof of nursing degree accreditation may be required upon request
• Candidates must provide a current driver’s license, social security card, and records of COVID and Flu vaccinations
• Travelers welcomed and fully supported within this positive, team-oriented culture

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required; Advanced Fetal Monitoring and EFM certification preferred
• Degree from an accredited nursing school or 5 years of RN experience required
• Must reside outside of a strict 50-mile radius from the facility
• Must be able to function independently with high-acuity patients
