About the Role:

The Montessori Curriculum Coordinator is a passionate and experienced Montessori educator responsible for leading and overseeing the implementation and development of the school's Montessori curriculum. This role involves collaboration with guides, administrators, and parents to ensure a high-quality, authentic Montessori learning experience for all children.

The ideal candidate is a passionate Montessori educator with a deep understanding of the Montessori philosophy and proven experience in curriculum development and implementation. They are a collaborative leader who can inspire and mentor teachers while fostering a strong partnership with parents. This individual thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to creating an exceptional learning experience for every child. Most importantly they demonstrate and foster a growth mindset in the staff community.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum and Instruction:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive Montessori curriculum.
• Ensure the curriculum meets diverse learning needs.
• Stay current on Montessori best practices and research.
• Create online training materials and lesson videos.
• Provide ongoing support, mentoring, and professional development for guides.
• Observe classrooms, provide feedback, and model best practices.
• Create SOPs and instructional materials

Resource Management:

• Oversee the selection, acquisition, and organization of Montessori materials.
• Manage the curriculum budget.

Community Engagement:

• Communicate with parents about the curriculum, student progress, and school initiatives.
• Conduct parent education workshops and events.

Assessment:

• Develop and implement assessment strategies to monitor student progress.
• Analyze data to inform instructional decisions.

Administrative Support: (25%)

• Provide assistance to the Head of School/Assistant Head of School, including staff scheduling, communication, reporting, and event support.
• Coordinate with the HOS/AHOS to either open the school or close the school per schedule. Be available outside of business hours to address urgent staffing needs.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or comparable work experience
• Montessori certification (AMI or AMS) for the relevant age level(s).
• At least 2 years of mentorship experience in a Montessori setting
• 3+ years of experience as a lead Montessori guide/teacher.
  
• Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and pedagogy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a passion for early childhood education

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Education or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of experience as a lead Montessori guide/teacher.
• Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
• Experience with teacher training and mentorship.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with technology integration in education.
