CSI Sports is seeking a Broadcast Post-Production Assistant/Video Editor & graphic artist who can grow into a key member of the production team. This position in our Jersey City office will report to the VP of Production and will utilize expertise with Adobe Creative Suite as we develop new content for domestic and international channel distribution as well as for digital platforms. The candidate must have a strong knowledge of digital tools, a passion for combat sports (especially boxing), a creative eye and work well in both an individual and team environment.

The Production Assistant/Video Editor will:

  • Create timelines in Adobe Premiere featuring program footage, b-roll, graphics and interview clips
  • Edit footage according to scripts, formats & production guidelines
  • Create and edit graphics for broadcast & digital using Adobe After Effects & Photoshop
  • Edit & post Daily News segment on social media platforms
  • Create tag pages for promos & assist in the creation of promos
  • Create digital content for various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok
  • Deliver final productions to the required specifications
  • Write promo scripts, show scripts & voice over notes
  • QC shows before they air to ensure there are no technical/creative issues
  • Log shows creating rich metadata to maximize its value on various media assets.
  • Attend Live Events & media week events including public workouts, weigh-ins and press conferences to conduct interviews and obtain footage
  • Monitor live events to ensure flawless execution & edit live highlights for posting on social media

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 2 years post-college experience editing & creating graphics for a post-production house or network
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop)
  • Must have knowledge of the sport of boxing
  • Have edited shows & promos for broadcast & digital
  • Know how to normalize audio, create a mix minus & edit shows to different specs
  • Familiar with social media platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Works well in fast-paced and changing environment
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, etc.)
  • Capable of handling various responsibilities and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree (Communications, TV/Film Production, or related field of study) or equivalent practical experience
  • Able to work typical production hours to hit deadlines and/or work on live events that will include nights, weekends, etc. as needed
  • This is a fully in-office position; remote work is not available

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
